Dr. Renee Brodie




Renee Brodie is a tutor in Religious Studies at Athabasca University, where her current research focuses on New Religious Movements (NRMs), and more specifically, the role of charisma in religious leadership. Other areas of interest include the connections between religion and violence, apocalyptic worldviews, and religion and society.

She is published in the Journal of American Culture and in the International Journal of Cultic Studies, and is developing a course on Religion and Popular Culture for Athabasca University.
